GradeMaster™ Solo 30-Day Trial

Terms and Conditions

The Loaner Replacement Program seeks to save money for schools using the Scantron™ or NCS/Pearson™ loaner program by replacing existing loaner test scanners with new GradeMaster™ Solo scanners. Customers on the GradeMaster™ Solo Program can save on average 50 percent off their current scan form budget, saving hundreds to thousands of dollars for each scanner in use.

Because there is a limited number of GradeMaster™ Solo scanners available and to ensure that scanners do not end up at schools or institutions unused, Loaner Replacement Program Users are required to use one scanner for a 30-Day Trial prior to committing to keeping the scanner. Please note the following regarding the 30-Day Trial period:

30-Day Trial Terms and Conditions of Use

Because of the limited number of GradeMaster™ Solo scanners, the Loaner Replacement Program is restricted to only those eligible schools and/or school districts who agree to the Terms and Conditions as stated below:

Eligibility Terms

A user is considered eligible by meeting all of the following requirements:

1. The User is a K-12 school or educational institution or an authorized representative of a school or educational institution.
2. The User currently leases one or more Scantron™ or NCS/Pearson™ test scanners (i.e., the User is on a “Loaner Program”) and will be able to produce a valid serial number as proof.
3. The User is located in the contiguous United States.
4. Should the User decide to keep the GradeMaster™ Solo, the User will be required to sign the Loaner Replacement Program Acceptance Agreement. A copy of this agreement is, available at www.gmsolo.com/agreement

Initial 30-Day Trial Terms

Apperson Education Products (Apperson) and School District or School (User) agree to the following terms of use for the GradeMaster™ Solo test scoring equipment:

1. Once the trial is requested, the scanner will ship as soon as it is in stock and available, generally within 3 business days. The scanner will be shipped via FedEx Ground from Seattle, WA, and may take up to 6 business days from date of shipment to arrive at your location. If you do not receive your scanner within 2 weeks of submitting your trial request, please contact a Customer Service Representative at gmsolo@appersonprint.com or by calling 800.827.9219 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Pacific Time.
2. The scanner will ship with one free package of 500 trial forms (Apperson item #25420) and one free package of 20 item analysis forms. Any additional forms will be purchased at the advertised retail price. At the time of this agreement, Apperson’s price for the most popular GradeMaster™ answer sheet, item #25420, is $33.50 per package of 500.
3. The User agrees to try the scanner for 30 days prior to committing to keeping the scanner for free, long-term use. During the 30 day trial, the User will put the scanner in a place that can be used by all or by many and will encourage the use of the scanner to ensure that the potential users feel comfortable keeping the scanner.
4. At the expiration of the 30 day trial period, the User will be contacted with instructions on how to complete a Loan Replacement Acceptance Agreement. At that time the User will have the option of replacing every loaned scanner on campus with a GradeMaster™ Solo scanner.
5. Users who do not wish to continue the use of the GradeMaster™ Solo shall return the scanner to Apperson at no cost to them by following these two easy steps:
   
   
   • Contact your Apperson representative at 800.827.9219 and request a return label and a return authorization number. These will be sent to your establishment.
   • When you receive both items, follow the instructions on the return authorization and call the number listed on the back of the label to schedule a pick-up time. Please have the GradeMaster™ Solo packaged and ready to ship when you call.
6. If Apperson has not received your Loan Replacement Acceptance Agreement to continue use of the GradeMaster™ Solo scanner, or the scanner has not been returned within 90 days from the date of the request of the 30-Day Trial, the User will be billed $525 to cover the cost of the GradeMaster™ Solo.

As the GradeMaster™ Solo Program is meant to replace a current Scantron™ or NCS/Pearson™ loaner program, you are required to provide a valid serial number of the loaner scanner that the GradeMaster™ Solo will replace:
